1. No proprietary investment products
We don't have our own mutual fund managers or structure products with our name on it to sell you which would be a conflict of interest if we did. For example, if I work for morgan Stanley I am going to be rewarded for selling their funds or promote their named products. Or if I work for a bank, I would be more inclined to offer you a CD from my bank rather then banks elsewhere. Or if I worked for an insurance company like Prudential, I would be more inclined to offer Prudential insurance since I work for them and that is the way firms work.2. No Investment Banking Relationships to promote.
We don't underwrite anyone's stock or we don't house any large firms loans or we don't have large companies bank accounts because were not a bank. The forward causes firms to promote things that would not be in the best interest of the client because of these many conflicts.3. No business conflicts to get in the way of providing unbiased recommendations.
Our recommendations are about putting the client first in all avenues and all these 3 things reiterate that fact.
